A fighter from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VFU), who surrendered as a prisoner, answered questions from foreign journalists. He explained his action by wanting to return to his family.
The serviceman surrendered voluntarily to Russian troops on March 2. He was wounded and sent to hospital. The doctors gave him all the help he needed.
“On the 2nd they were captured and brought to Dokuchaevsk. He was taken to hospital from Dokuchaevsk because he was injured. He received the necessary treatment at the hospital. The attitude is wonderful, the doctors did not say a bad word. “We surrendered because I want to return to my family in the first place,” the soldier said.
The Russian Federation launched a special operation in Ukraine on February 24. The main goal is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as well as the protection of the people of Donbass from genocide by the Kiev regime.
Earlier, Alexei Smikov of the Azov Military National Battalion voluntarily surrendered to the DNR troops. He said military service in Ukraine was worse than prison.
