Tizayuca, Hgo.— When giving the flag to the Train Mexico-Pachucathe president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) agreed to the construction of more strategic works by military engineers. In addition, Sheinbaum Pardo also announced that members of the private initiative will participate in the construction of other projects.
At the beginning of the preliminary work for the construction of the Mexico-Pachuca Train, the head of the Sedena, General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo, endorsed the also supreme commander of the Armed forces their commitment “to join the construction of strategic works. The soldiers of Mexico reaffirm our commitment to join, during this administration, in the construction of strategic works that progress requires,” said General Trevilla at the old Huitzila train station.
He stated that the department under his charge will not neglect the primary tasks of national defense and internal security.

For her part, President Sheinbaum accused the privatization of trains in past governments, and pointed out that the rescue of this means of transportation for passengers began with the former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“We are going to make more trains, and one of the most important trains is the Train Mexico-Pachucawhich is going to have several stations (…) The military engineers are going to help us because they are really good,” said Sheinbaum Pardo, highlighting his construction of trains, airports, welfare banks and hospitals.
“Our military engineers and the Mexican army They build peace throughout the country. Of course there is an Army, of course the army participates. National guard“, now as part of the Sedena, but what we all want is the construction of peace, and public works are part of the essential tasks of the Secretariat of National Defense,” added the president.

He commented that there will also be collaboration with private companies, but for other projects. “There will also be construction with private companies in the country, but in this case we made the decision that the group of military engineers [participara]”, dijo Sheinbaum.
He also highlighted the construction of the Interoceanic Train and that the Mayan Train will also be cargo.
The head of the federal Executive denied once again that there is militarization with the transfer of the National Guard to the Sedena.
The Secretary of Sedena pointed out that with this act in Hidalgo the group of engineers Felipe Ángeles of the Army begins the preliminary studies for the development of this road “under the highest standards of safety, efficiency and sustainability,” he said.
