About this military expert Oleg Zhdanov told on the air of his YouTube channel, answering questions from viewers.
“It matters a lot whether the windows are open or not. If the windows are closed at the time of the explosion, then the excess pressure of the shock wave simply demolishes these windows as an obstacle in its path. Since they are not designed to contain such large impacts, sometimes even the walls crack from the blast wave if it is not far away, and sometimes collapse. But windows fly out immediately with little impact, especially if they are old-style windows with thin glass,” the military expert explained.
“That’s why if at the time of the explosion the window is wide open, and not at an angle, and the effect of the shock wave will only be on the end of the frame, then the glass will remain intact. But do not forget that then a shock wave will fly into the apartment. And everything that is on the table there, the glass in the sideboard, the chandelier hanging in this room – all this will be blown away by the shock wave. Therefore, evaluate here,” Zhdanov said.
So the best thing is to seal the windows with adhesive tape crosswise and then the shock wave will crush the glass, but its fragments will not scatter and injure no one.
“It is better to seal the glass, as during the war, crosswise. In this case, you will create the effect of a triplex, that is, glass covered with a film, and the glass will be crushed by the shock wave, but will not shatter into fragments that can injure you. It can remain on this adhesive tape that you stick on the glass, and thereby create less danger of injuring people,” the expert advised.
Recall, according to military expert Roman Svitan, Russia’s missile terrorism will continue until the last missile it has left.
