“For the army to be effective and able to effectively defend our homeland, it must have a full range of weapons, and therefore the Crab howitzer cannons will be more effective when the artillery units also have drones that will perform tasks related to reconnaissance and targeting. “, – said the minister.
A consortium of “Polish Armed Group” and “Plants of Military Aviation” will work on the production of drones.
It is known that drones are capable of continuous operation for three hours and cover a distance of up to 35 kilometers. At the same time, they are characterized by low noise levels.
The delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles is scheduled for 2024-2027.
