It is noted that the German Minister of Defense will announce the deliveries during a meeting of the heads of defense departments of NATO countries. At the same time, the deliveries of the Mars II MLRS are scheduled for August-September. The Ukrainian military has yet to learn how to operate the new equipment.
At the same time, as the publication explains, the main reason for the reduction in the promised supply of MLRS was the lack of shells for such equipment from Germany.
“German deliveries were made possible only because the US wants to supply additional munitions for Mars II,” says Business Insider.
It is also emphasized that the new Mars II will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army, because with their help you can quickly destroy enemy artillery.
