“Training on the Panzerhaubitze 2000 will soon be completed so that it can be used in combat in Ukraine,” she said.
At the same time, the minister did not provide details about when the howitzers would be sent to Ukraine.
“The first howitzers will be delivered to Ukraine when preparations are completed, and it will be responsible for their delivery,” she said, adding that she would not disclose a date or transportation routes for security reasons.
The Panzerhaubitze 2000 is one of the most powerful artillery pieces in service with the Bundeswehr and can hit targets at a distance of 40 km.
