Miley Cyrus has relaunched negotiations for a residency in Las Vegas.
The 31-year-old star recently announced that she has no immediate plans to tour, but has reportedly resumed negotiations to follow in the footsteps of Adele, Britney Spears and Celine Dion by performing a residency concert in Las Vegas after a “higher offer” was made to him.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s ‘Weird’ section: “Miley has been in talks for a while to make her LA debut. She initially turned down an offer from MGM, but if she hates life on “On the road, she still enjoys being on stage. Talks resumed recently after a higher offer was put on the table.”
If the “Flowers” singer accepts the offer, she will take over for U2 at Sphere, but the insider added that the main problem is that bosses who paid the “With Or Without You” rockers £800,000 sterling per show, the artists “stubborn” in the hope of obtaining a high fee.
The source adds: “One of the problems the bosses are having is that after paying U2 so much, other artists have noticed and are going out of their way to get the same thing.”
Miley began touring at the age of 14, when she embarked on the “Best of Both Worlds Tour” in which she played herself and her alter ego Hannah Montana. She then went on to undertake several other tours during her career.
