The club received great news shortly before the end of the year. The youth department receives funds from the MV strategy fund to expand the school project.
On the initiative of the Rostock state parliament member Daniel Peters (CDU), two Rostock sports clubs receive financial means for special projects from the state’s strategy fund. The Rostock Griffins, among others, can look forward to 15,000 euros for the “Gridiron Rostock” project.
With the project, pupils of the Rostock schools receive an additional sport offer. In the weekly American football training of individual school teams, they are strengthened individually and as a team so that at the end of a school year they can compete against other schools.
“Sport in Rostock means, above all, targeted work with children and young people. In an environment that is becoming digital, it is extremely important that movement, team spirit and fair cooperation are not forgotten. Club sport is the most important pillar for this, ”says Daniel Peters.
The team manager and board member of the Rostock Griffins, Jens Putzier, is also happy about the donation for his club: “Rostock Griffins eV thanks for the great support for the further development of American football in Rostock. It is always nice to see how cross-party efforts are being made in the sports city of Rostock to support the sports clubs in their extremely important social and health-promoting work in our city. This is yet another proof and our youth department is very happy about this help! “
For the second time the griffins received such urgent support, at that time there was funds from the strategy fund on the initiative of SPD state parliament member Dirk Stamer for the TEAM MV U 19 team. We say THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!
