With the permission of Sony Interactive Entertainment et exclusively for Entertainment Weekly, the American studio Insomniac Games unveiled a new image of Spider-Man : Miles Morales showing the new hero in his black and red outfit with particularly fine reflections and lighting effects. After confirming 4K resolution at 60fps with performance mode sure PS5, la technologie Ray Tracing is now certified for standalone which will take place in the middle of winter, just a year after the events of Spider-Man with Peter Parker.

A full arc for Spider-Man: Miles Morales

From the start of the adventure, Miles’ hometown of Harlem will be the scene of a war between an energy company and a powerful criminal army with cutting edge technology. Still trained by Peter Parker, he will have to learn to manage his new powers such as invisibility and Venom Blast, an electric poison. The Miles Morales character will have unique animations and mechanics as well as unique moves.

If Peter’s story stems from a tragedy, Miles’ story is more family-friendly. Bryan Intihar, Creative Director of Insomniac Games, assures us that the experience will not be discounted despite his standalone status: “Miles Morales is entitled to a full, rich arc that started in Spider-Man. This new game represents the advent of a hero and it’s a full story. When we started to design it, we realized that with a little more compacted storytelling, we could tell a very powerful story emotionally speaking. What I find really fascinating about the character of Miles is that he has friends he could let into his world – his human world and his Spider-Man world. He’s a little different in his approach to things.
