The police commissioner’s doubts

Her clothes wet and dirty, her wrists marked as if by ties, she said she had been kidnapped by two hooded men who then tried to kill her by drowning her in a pond and then walking away believing her to be dead. But Milena Santirocco’s version leaves the investigators perplexed. Investigations that start again from the long interrogation, almost eight hours, to which Milena Santirocco was subjected yesterday in the Lanciano police station where she was brought back in a police car coming from Castel Volturno. The woman, her face covered by a hood, upon leaving the police station, got into a car with tinted windows and returned home with her children.

Many questions still unanswered

Where was Milena Santirocco for six days? Who could have sent two hooded men to kidnap her? Why kill her? Why was her Facebook profile closed and where did her cell phone go?

All questions that the investigation entrusted to the Vasto prosecutor will attempt to answer Silvia Di Nunzio who opened a case with the hypothesis of the crime of kidnapping against unknown persons. At the moment, the only certainties are that Milena Santirocco disappeared last Sunday from the Sangro area of ​​Turin and reappeared on Saturday evening at the Nacca café in Castel Volturno asking to be able to call her family. Immediately recognized, the police were notified and the woman gave a confusing story: the two hooded men who had kidnapped her, the car journey to the Castel Volturno area unknown to her, later identified as the naturalistic oasis of Variconi.
