As if it were another contest with prizes, Javier Milei announced this week that he will raffle his diet as a national deputy, after taking office on December 10 for the group La Libertad Avanza. They are about 205 thousand pesos that will be available to the winner.
At 6 o’clock in the morning on Friday, January 7, at least 500,000 people registered at the check, indicated sources from the libertarian space. This Sunday, that number climbed to 750 thousand registered.
The verification of Milei’s salary garnered some appeal, with more than 5,500,000 visits that entered the web since the raffle was announced. The site had moments when it collapsed, not resisting the connection of 20 thousand people per minute.
Beyond the intentions and the controversy of the bet, the initiative had its benefits in terms of communication and scope. The economist’s Instagram account reached a million followers: he added 43,000 in just two days. It even doubled the views of their stories on that social network, going from an average of 50,000 to 100,000, according to the latest data. The draw will be on January 12 and will be held in Mar del Plata. It will take place in the open talk “Social justice is unfair”, at 7.30 pm in Playa Grande on the steps located in Guardavidas Guillermo Volpe between Saavedra and Quintana.
During the electoral campaign, the economist promised that he would carry out his activity on an ad honorem basis and that he would not collect his salaries in the public service.
