Milei receives former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in Buenos Aires

ARGENTINA.- The Argentine president, Javier Milei, received this Monday the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (2019-2022) at the Government House in Buenos Aires, where they held a private meeting, according to images released by the Presidency.

According to the local press, the former leader of the British Conservative party visits Latin America as part of a promotional tour for his book “Unleashed” which goes on sale this month.

According to the website of Picton, an investment advisory firm, Johnson, 60, plans to travel to Santiago to participate in a “Picton-El Mercurio” seminar on Thursday.

There he will be interviewed by the former ambassador of the United Kingdom to Chile David Gallagher and by the lawyer Gerardo Varela, within the framework of a series of presentations of his recent autobiographical book.

In his memoirs, the former conservative official recounts his experience in politics, in particular his time in Downing Street, marked by the negotiations with the European Union (EU) over the United Kingdom’s departure from it or the covid pandemic.

Johnson fell out of favor among his colleagues in 2022, after a series of scandals, particularly his parties at the prime minister’s residence in the midst of the Covid pandemic.
