Milano Fashion Week was Styrian – the Austrians brought some terrible moments – ARF – Ausseer regional television

This year Milano Fashion Week was very Austrian, but above all very Styrian! There were three models made in Styria: Sarah Schmidt (19, Weiz), Laura-Sophie Lang (20, Weiz) and Lea Zeisberger (20, Empersdorf), as well as the Vienna-based designer Manuel Essl ( Graz) and designer Christa Franz (St. Ulrich im Greith) two of the most talented Styrian fashion designers. And both the Styrian models and designers knew how to score! While Laura-Sophie Lang worked for the Austrian show block “Topmodel TV Collective Austria” and 5 Austro photographers, Zeisberger and Schmidt could show their skills with 4 (Zeisberger) and 2 (Schmidt) other international designers. Both of them are now moving on to Paris Fashion Week, where they also ended up in one of the model pools and can walk for several designers.

In Milan, 5 Austrian designers did not want to be satisfied with “being in everything”… The Austrian exhibition block even became one of the biggest topics of conversation in Milan fashion scene. The project was initiated by 1st Place Models together with Zoran Kalabic from 4M Immobilien and the beauty salon Adrianna Lushezy. The three partners came together and wanted to give Austrian designers a well-deserved platform in the international fashion world, as there is nothing comparable in Austria at this level. And the 5 designers Julia Lara König, Manuel Essl, Emanuel Burger, Christa Franz and Gayane Yeghiazaryan knew how to use their platform!

It was left to Emanuel Burger of Frankenburg to open the ranks of the Austro designers. And there was unusual fashion for the Italians to see! Burger showed a mix of traditional Austrian fabrics with a touch of couture that could not be overlooked, followed by the Styrian designer Christa Franz, who showed a very creative couture with a unique dress for Laura-Sophie Lang, among others, and the then Gaya Couture (designer Gayane Yeghiazaryan). chain mail.

These were some of the biggest outfits that were taken during the day of the fashion week and they were a success for the designer. Manuel Essl from Graz then showed a beautiful, colorful collection and Julia-Lara König, winner of the Haute Couture Award in Austria, was the finalist of the Austro Mode Reigens. It started with a very beautiful, elegant couture, but in the end there was also a small shock moment as a statement of women’s self-determination: the top model of Lower Austria Sarah Leidl walked, who was also a testimonial for the designer , on the sidewalk as her vulva walks. At the same time the audience was surprised and delighted.

What was special about this Milan Fashion Week is that there are usually less than 5 Austrian models every year at one of the three big fashion weeks in Milan, Paris and New York. This year everything was different from the Austrian point of view, because 15 models were booked for Milan Fashion Week by the group 1st Place Models alone. Famous names and talented newcomers such as the Styrian Sarah Schmidt (Austrian Model of the Year, two years ago), the internationally successful Sarah Leidl from Wiener Neudorf, the Viennese Lea-Rebecca Cretu (daughter of Coach Ball -European volleyball). of the Year Gianni Cretu) , Katharina Jordan from Gänserndorf, Kassaraspeiser from Schweern/St.Pölten Land, Lea Zeisberger from Empersdorf, Laura-Sophie Lang from Weiz, horn player Qendresa Bulliqi, Ann-Kathrin Johannides from Katzelsdorf, Caroline Fiedler from Wi Neustadt , the burly Cuban-Russian Viennese Elizaveta Esquivel-Villafranca, the Belarusian-born Viennese Darya Fesina, the Portuguese top model Adriana Lopes, the Spanish model Jessica Arias Gonzalez and the Swedish model Elsa Kullegard.

The real estate agent Zoran Kalabic, who is very famous in the media in Vienna, threw a legendary Austro party in the heart of the Italian fashion capital in the cult place of the fashion scene, Dasein Milano. Several models, designers and interesting guests came to visit. From an Austrian perspective, it was a successful fashion week in Milan. In the end, the young Austrian model Kassaraspeiser was found on the site by none other than Francesco Murano. She was immediately booked for 5 jobs in Milan, she was convinced and is now flown to Paris for 8 days for Murano. Murano is leading Milan Fashion Week this year, he is the designer of superstars such as Beyonce and Katy Perry.

All in all, it was a powerful call sign for the Austrian fashion and modeling scene!
