Goal Paul pogba bring Manchester United beat AC Milan 1-0. The Red Devils advance to the quarterfinals Europa League after winning 2-1 on aggregate from the Rossoneri.

Milan vs MU is presented at the San Siro in the second leg of the last 16 of the Europa League, Friday (19/3/2021) early morning Western Indonesian Time. The match ended goalless in the first half.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops were then able to break the deadlock four minutes after the break. Paul Pogba’s goal in the 49th minute brought MU 1-0 up.

MU can maintain their advantage until the game is complete. This result led MU to advance to the quarterfinals.

They got rid of the Rossoneri with a 2-1 aggregate advantage. In the first leg at Old Trafford, the two teams drew 1-1.

The course of the match

The Red Devils, who needed a victory to go to the quarter-finals, took the initiative to attack at the start of the match. Milan chose to play waiting in order to reduce the visitors.

This method is fairly effective with MU looking difficult to dismantle Milan’s defense. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troops only opened their first shot in this match in the 13th minute through Bruno Fernandes.

That, too, Fernandes’ kick in the midst of a siege by Milan players still soared. Two minutes later it was Milan’s turn to threaten.

Franck Kessie fired horizontally from outside the penalty box. This effort is still weak so it is easy to secure Dean Henderson.

Still stuck, Fred tried his luck with a long distance shot in the 24th minute. However, his shot was aimed right at Gianluigi Donnarumma’s embrace.

Milan also pressed high several times entering the middle of the first half. This makes it more difficult for MU to build attacks.

The host had stolen opportunities in the 40th minute. Alexis Saelamaekers took off a hard kick right in front of the MU penalty box. Henderson is still alert by being able to ward off the ball.

Milan threatened again in the final minutes of the first half. Saelamaekers’ bait from the left met Rade Krunic in the penalty box, but Krunic’s shot went wide.

There were no goals created in the first half. Score remains 0-0.

After the break, Solskjaer entered Paul Pogba to replace Marcus Rashford. This decision was fairly accurate with Pogba being able to score a goal in the 49th minute.

Goal!! Pogba found Donnarumma’s goal with a kick from a tight angle. He took advantage of the crisis that was born after Soualiho Miete could not sweep the ball.

MU winning 1-0. This condition made the tempo of the match increase with Milan chasing an equalizer.

Milan had a chance in the 50th minute when Saelamaekers broke out of the trap offside. Henderson’s strike from the Belgian player was brilliantly pushed over.

Milan put Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 65th minute to add attack power. Ibrahimovic almost brought a goal for Milan in the 73rd minute.

Standing in front of goal, he could head the ball from Hakan Calhanoglu’s cross. However, Henderson again appeared charming by being able to ward off the ball.

The British goalkeeper still showed his alertness in the 84th minute. He managed to secure Scott McTominay’s sweep of the ball after cutting Brahim Diaz’s pass which led to the goal.

Milan’s attempt to make a return goal was fruitless until the game ended. MU closed the match with a 1-0 win.
