The 2021/22 football season is definitely over, which means we can look back at which players played the most minutes during it. The table of the ten busiest footballers in Europe has traditionally been dominated by defenders and players from the English Premier League.

It is in England that footballers have to play the most matches. In addition to domestic competition and European cups, they also play the FA Cup and EFL Cup.
