There are rankings where it is better to finish last. It is not a boast to be on the podium of the cities with the highest inflation in Italy, with the risk of being booed and pointed to as incinerators of purchasing power. But the price flare remains whirlwind and leads to study also its local trend, in particular after the diffusion by theState of June inflation data for regions and capitals with more than 150,000 inhabitants. Numbers put in order by the National Consumers Union, which has drawn up the ranking of the most expensive cities in Italy in terms of the increase in the cost of living.

In the head there Bolzanowhere annual inflation is equal to +9,7%, the highest in the country together with that of Palermo, a sharp rise that translates into the higher annual additional expenditure equivalent, on average, to 2,578 euros. In second place Milanowhere the price growth equal to 9%for an increase in expenditure equal to 2,443 euros for an average family. On the lowest step of the podium Trentowhere + 9% generates an additional cost of € 2,355 per year for a typical family. In fourth place Brescia (+ 8.5%, + € 2,241), then Bologna (+ 8.9%, € 2,220), in sixth position Verona with € 2,188, then Ravenna (+ 8.8%, € 2,127), Padua (+8 , 6%, +2.002 euros) and Trieste (+ 8.6%, +1.996 euros). Modena closes the top ten + 8.2%, equal to 1,982 euros.

At the top of the ranking of the most expensive regions, on the other hand, with annual inflation of + 9.3% is Trentino Alto Adige, which records an average increase of 2,417 euros per family on an annual basis. Follows the Lombardy, where the 8.1% increase in prices implies a rise in the cost of living equal to 2,105 euros. Veneto is third: + 8.5%, with an annual increase of 1,946 euros. The most economical region is Molise, whose annual increase is worth 6.6%, equal to 1,208 euros, followed by Puglia (+ 8%, +1,295 euros) and Marche (+ 7%, +1,365 euros).
