The gelbison is at the top of group G of Serie D and dreams of being able to return to professional football, in the meantime the passion for the Cilento team – he is still waiting for the end of the works at the “Morra” to be able to play again three years later Vallo della Lucania – crosses territorial borders and arrives in Milan. In the shadow of the Madonnina about forty young people, who emigrated for work or study but proudly Cilento, met last Wednesday to inaugurate the “Club Gelbison Milan”.
An idea developed to give, even if from afar, one’s own contribution of affection to the rossoblu team, but at the same time to feel a living part of a community and of a project that is increasingly recognized in that of “city-territory” that was launched by the president for some years now Maurizio Puglisi.
«We shared the idea of establishing the club with President Puglisi, whom we thank. Many Cilentans live in Milan who have spent a good part of their lives in the municipalities of the area around Vallo della Lucania and the Gulf of Policastro. Many are sports enthusiasts and many played football in Cilento during their adolescence: in Vallo della Lucania, in Agropoli and in Sapri. It is therefore a source of pride for us to see a team from our area fighting for promotion to professional football», explained the founders in a press note that made the worthy initiative known. «We would never have believed that Serie C could arrive in our small towns. And instead Gelbison, president Puglisi and the entire rossoblu club have already shown us three years ago that the dream was possible. We want to accompany him, at least ideally, this year too and from here too» he declares Carmine Pacente, president of the club.
«The team started well and after the first few days of the championship they are fighting with the top teams in the standings». He adds Pierfrancesco Crispo which they echo Caesar Priscus e Valentino Esposito: «We will organize ourselves to watch some matches together in Milan and sometimes to go to Cilento in person. With the airport of Salerno it is now much easier». Andrea Gregorio e Alessandro Lipiani they conclude in chorus: «We will open the Club to all those who love sport, football and Cilento».
