April 30th, starting at 10am Palazzo Chigi the control room returns to understand where they stand Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics. The 5 Star Movement, always against the Games (see Rome 2024), has meanwhile turned to the European Union. Furthermore, in mid-May, with the “mock up”, it will be possible to observe a real simulation of the track, then an inspection is scheduled for June. The plant, as we know, must be delivered to the IOC by 25 March 2025 for pre-homologation.
Also in Cortina, in May-June, off to the construction site for the Ice rink which will also host curling. Time 400 days to complete the works. A private company is taking care of the Pala Giulia which will host ice hockey professionals. Simico and Anas were delegated by the government to take care of the infrastructure. The Olympic Foundation, President Giovanni Malagò, which instead manages the sports organisation, will close with a deficit, no one knows how large: it will then be up to the State to repay the debts. One of the legacies of the Games.
