Mikov: The pressure on the word has acquired physical dimensions in our country –

/ world today news/ I can’t think of anything secure, nothing stable, not to mention democratic and free, when I find the words “journalist” and “clubs” in one sentence, when I look at the photo with the disfigured face of Stoyan Tonchev and I read in the accompanying comment: “While they were beating me, they asked how long I would write.”

This was stated on Facebook by the chairman of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, in a comment about the attack on Tonchev. On Thursday evening, two strangers severely beat the journalist in Pomorie.

Mikov stated that apparently the removal of shows was not decisive enough and the pressure on speech in our country has acquired physical dimensions. According to him, the ugly assault raises to a new level the silencing of dissenters, which the left is alarming and protesting. “The voices, which apparently someone wants no Bulgarian to hear, are units anyway – both at the national and local level. Systematically silencing them is indicative of the seriousness of what they are directing the attention of their audience to,” the leader of the socialists points out.

According to the chairman of the BSP, we are “steadily” moving towards the information twilight zone – a sure step towards the “visible” already “result” of a well-known management style. “It may have changed its skin, but its character continues to bear the marks of an authoritarianism that bewitches and distracts us – sometimes with gaffes, sometimes with blunders. And the matter is serious – the democratic foundations of our society are being trampled on, which needs exactly the opposite in order to balance and prosper”, commented Mihail Mikov.

“Volgin irritated superiors and regulators with what he said in his “Deconstruction”, although it was written outside of any “prime-time”. Ahchieva’s investigation into the donated, and perhaps “fake” vaccines to Moscow had to be circulated in electronic space for the Bulgarians to see in time. And now – a beating over their colleague Tonchev, who, if you remember, was a candidate for municipal councilor with the intention of attacking the “octopus” in Pomorie”, writes Mikov.
