/ world today news/ In the last two sessions of the National Assembly, the most repeated word was reform, to the extent that people perceive this word as belt tightening, layoffs, unemployment. This was said by the chairman of the BSP, Mikhail Mikov, at the beginning of the new session of the parliament.
Tsvetan Tsvetanov’s finding that remarkable stabilization has been achieved in the economy is interesting. This was achieved by halving the forecast on which the 2015 budget was prepared. The forecast was reduced to 0.8%, and that for the sole reason of reducing the 14 payments to mothers, children, disabled people, Mikov added.
And now, with an accounting trick of the MoF’s spring forecast, the remarkable stabilization of the economy announced a while ago has been achieved. Stabilizing the economy is like international isolation. It is absurd for an EU member to be in international isolation. Bulgaria has quite serious problems in relations, including with the neighboring Balkan countries – on the one hand, the construction of the fence creates attitudes towards Turkey, on the other hand Borisov’s stories for years about Greece, the threats to the Bulgarians that things would go badly in our country as in Greece, for the tax, they put new barriers between our neighbors, Mikov added.
He emphasized that our neighbors are achieving alliances to change strategic infrastructure routes in South-Eastern Europe. “In Budapest, it was seen how Bulgaria was excluded on this topic and is about to be excluded, and a country that transits gas will become a small consumer, because of its destroyed industry. It is clear that during this session the policy of low incomes will continue in the country, that’s why we from the BSP in the coming days will again propose that the working poor be exempted from tax,” stressed Mikov.
We already have remarkable stabilization, don’t we, we have surpluses. We will insist on urgent measures in the fields of tourism and agriculture to compensate for the consequences of the sanctions against Russia, from which Bulgaria suffers the most severe consequences in the EU. Consequences, without compensation for the milk producers, without compensation for the tourism industry, without compensation for the industrial and machine industries and the last remnants of the Bulgarian forklift and electric truck industry are dying, noted the chairman of the BSP.
He added that a policy is being pushed in health care that makes it more and more unaffordable, and the BSP will oppose this categorically. In education it will be the same way. Do not hold open meetings so that the media and citizens do not understand what is happening in education policy. The Committee on Education should hold its meetings in the National Assembly. We will have the same understanding when we defend the positions related to the protection of Bulgarian producers. We have a position that we have offered today and we will be happy to show it together, not just to claim that we are protecting Bulgarian producers, Mikov said.
The BSP will also defend legislation restricting monopolies, “because the small and medium-sized Bulgarian entrepreneur is being killed every hour. We will continue to defend the submitted bills to protect citizens from abuse of the PSI and the banks. The BSP will continue to be a consistent opposition, but an opposition with another left-wing policy. We are sure that this is the only alternative to today’s right-wing government, and the sooner Bulgarian citizens understand it, the further Bulgaria will have a perspective for development, Mikov also said.
