/ world today news/ “For ABV, the issue of influence in the BSP is a matter of life and death, because in the next relatively short period they will disappear from the political scene”, said the chairman of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, during the municipal party conference in Vidin today. BSP reported.
According to him, if there are elections tomorrow, the ABV cannot in any way exceed the 4 percent mark, and therefore they are looking for a way on the back of the BSP to report some election result. “That’s why they are so involved, including with some actions regarding the conduct of the full cycle of reports-elections in the party. For me, it would be unhygienic for me to deal with whom ABV will choose for municipal, regional or national leadership or leaders”, Mikov was categorical.
He pointed out that, despite the suggestions, the right is much more divided, and on the left there are several activists who broke away from the BSP, who break away from its influence, but this is already being experienced.
“During these years, the so-called project parties appeared – SDS, NDSV, which left. Now the big question is which right-wing project will emerge after GERB. This issue will emerge in the horizon of a year – a year and a half, if the crisis relations in the ruling coalition, the clash of business interests, the battle for positions do not force Boyko Borisov to resign for the second time in a row”, said Mikov.
Right-wing parties-projects have the quality of deceiving people and they say to themselves – this is very good, this is promising.
“We have to go out and tell people not to buy into these concoctions that the right-wing is making, successfully packaging and selling through the media to push policy in the interests of big business, for corporations, not for the sole trader who has two – three workers or he hired his wife and children”, pointed out Mikov. He gave an example of the “Training and Employment” scheme, according to which the Vidin region with one of the highest levels of unemployment was given 3 jobs, and Domuschiev – 30 to mow the stadium in Razgrad.
After the congress, the candidacy that will be put forward in the presidential elections will be widely discussed. According to Mikov, the BSP has not frozen in the possibilities of alliances, but when such alliances are made, there must be clarity. “There is no way you can participate in an extreme right-wing government that inflicts defeats on people on a daily basis and at the same time claim to be part of the left, including for the presidential elections,” added Mikhail Mikov.
The course of the BSP is approved by its members, and this is evident from the party conferences held in various places, including the speeches, reports and positions of today’s conference of the Vidin municipal party organization. Mikov later stated this to journalists. He pointed out that the position of the BSP, which is not an accomplice in today’s right-wing destruction of Bulgaria, is appreciated by party members and delegates to party conferences.
The municipal conference in Vidin nominated Mihail Mikov as chairman of the BSP National Council and elected 33-year-old Dimitar Velkov as municipal chairman.
