Residents of Miklusėnai Street in the city of Alytus will be able to enter their homes from Naujosijas Street. This was announced on Tuesday by the representatives of the Alytus city municipality, who met with the residents of the Putinai micro-district.
Residents living at the end of Miklusėnai Street and three apartment buildings on Naujosjis Street experienced the most inconvenience due to the lack of access. Although their house is right there when driving along Naujaja Street, they had to drive through the courtyards of Putinai Street.
Miklusėnai street reconstruction works will start this spring and will be carried out in two stages. At the beginning, road workers will work from the side of Putinai Street. The 319-meter-long and 5.5-meter-wide section of the street will have rainwater networks laid, the street paved, a two-meter-wide sidewalk on one side of the street, 45 parking spaces on the other side, entrances to the yards of individual houses, and updated lighting. In the second stage, Miklusėnai Street will be connected to Naujaja Street. Both entry and exit will be made.
Residents will inevitably experience inconvenience while the street is being reconstructed. True, traffic on the street will not be closed. The works are planned to be completed within 15 months (until 18.06.2025). 664 thousand will be released. euros.
