Mike Tyson accused of second rape
Boxing legend Mike Tyson is being sued for $5 million for rape in the early 1990s. The ex-boxer was sentenced for a similar crime in 1992.

A woman has accused former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson of rape. The plaintiff claims that everything happened in the early 1990s, they met at a nightclub in Albany (New York). It is reported Daily Mail and AP. The victim filed a lawsuit in the state Supreme Court in January and seeks $5 million.
In particular, the plaintiff stated that the boxer raped her in a limousine and this led to “physical, psychological and emotional trauma” in subsequent years. “I got into Tyson’s limousine to pick up my friend from her house. Tyson immediately began to touch me and tried to kiss me. I told him “no” several times and asked him to stop, but he continued to attack me. Then he pulled off my pants and brutally raped me, ”- claims victim.
Tyson has been behind bars several times. He was convicted of raping Desiree Washington on February 10, 1992, and received six years in prison, but was released early three years later. In 1999, the athlete was given a year in prison for beating participants in a car accident. And in 2008, he was detained for a day on a drug possession case.
Tyson is considered the youngest world heavyweight champion (he won the championship belt at the age of 20 years 144 days) and the absolute world champion (at 21). In addition, he is the only boxer in history who managed to defend the title of absolute world champion six times in a row. On account of the 56-year-old American, 50 wins, including 44 by knockout, with six defeats.
