“Keep winning, brother, keep winning,” Mike Tyson said to Tyson Fury
Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has urged both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder to keep fighting and moving forward with their careers.
Earlier this month, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder faced off in one of the greatest heavyweight bouts of all time.
Tyson Fury retained the WBC heavyweight title when he overcame Wilder’s two knockdowns, only to knock Wilder hard even in the eleventh round. The fight took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.
Tyson Fury is in the process of making an official decision about his boxing future and there are some experts and insiders who expect Fury to quit his gloves after his last fight and retire from boxing. Even former great boxers, such as Ricky Hatton, who was champion in two different weight classes, believe that Fury has nothing more to prove and should retire from boxing.
Mike Tyson, named after whom Tyson Fury was born, wants the English boxing star to move on and move forward after his recent performance.
“Keep winning, brother, keep winning,” Tyson said in an interview over the past few days.
Mike Tyson: “He’s the linear champion. He is the man who defeated the strongest man. He’s a heavyweight champion, period. It’s him, no one else! “
“Are you asking anyone out there, except maybe Oleksandr Usyk, who the real heavyweight champion is? And I think that even Usyk could say it’s Tyson Fury. “
Fury’s wife Paris, however, expects her husband to fight for at least a few more years.
Tyson Fury’s next fight is slated for March or April next year – and it could be a mandatory title defense of his WBC title against domestic rival Dillian Whyte.
And when it comes to Wilder, Mike Tyson wants to see how he recovered from his recent defeat and comes back strengthened.
“Keep fighting, make money, pile your money and only then break up,” said Mike Tyson to Deontay Wilder’s address.
During the trilogy fight with Fury, Wilder suffered an injury to his right hand and has since been operated on. He is also expected to fight again in the first half of 2022.
