One of the greatest boxers in world history in the form of former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson announces that he is ready for a comeback. Youtuber Jake Paul will stand for the resistance.
Mike Tyson meets Jake Paul on the BIG platform
Tyson dominated the boxing world for a long time but has been retired for several years. However, the former champion, who is 57 years old, made a comeback in 2020 when he faced Roy Jones in an exhibition match that ended in a draw. Now Tyson states on his Instagram that he has signed for a match against former Youtuber and professional boxer Jake Paul. Even 27-year-old Paul shared the news on his Instagram.
Tyson has gone 50-6-0 as a professional boxer with 44 wins via TKO/KO. Paul has gone 9-1-0 in professional boxing with six of the wins coming via finish. The latter played a match as recently as last weekend and was then defeated Ryan Bourland via KO in the first round. He recently announced that he will return to the ring on April 26th. So it remains to be seen if Paul will compete even before the aforementioned clash against Tyson.
Place for 80,000 spectators
The match will take place on July 20 in Texas and fans will be able to watch it live on the global streaming service Netflix. The platform has never broadcast live martial arts before. The event will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The place is the home arena of the NFL team Dallas Cowboy. The arena has a capacity for 80,000 spectators.
At the moment, it is unclear whether the aforementioned match will be an exhibition match or an official professional clash.
