In a statement, he indicated that “President Hussein Al-Husseini’s presence constituted a milestone in the history of parliamentary work in Lebanon, and marked legislative work with fundamental steps for many years. His pioneering role in the era of “Taif The “Accord” conference had great credit in approving the “Document of National Accord” ending the Lebanese war. He also knew, with his patriotic sense and deep awareness of the specificity and role of Lebanon, how to ensure the Lebanese balance at the heart of the constitution reforms that constitute a guarantee of stability in Lebanon, if they were fully implemented and completed.
He said, “With the absence of President Hussein Al-Husseini, we and our family lose a brother and a friend who has always been the best adviser and follower.
He added: “Mr. President, today we salute you, but you will remain forever in our conscience and in our national memory. A statesman par excellence, your passage was not ordinary, but left indelible footprints, and history will record them with esteem and pride”.
