The wave of violence in Stockholm
SVT Nyheter has been in contact with Mikael’s relatives. According to information, he must have been on his way to the swimming pool with his 12-year-old son. A situation must have then arisen with a youth gang in an underpass. After a confrontation, Mikael is said to have been shot.
According to information, the son must have been the one who called 112.
The police do not want to comment on this when SVT asks, citing the confidentiality of the preliminary investigation.
No one deprived of liberty
An extensive investigative effort has been underway since Wednesday evening, acting local police area chief Andreas Bagoly tells SVT.
– We work extensively with information gathering, questioning of witnesses and technical investigation.
At the moment, no one is in custody. Bagoly cannot go into any details about the course of events.
– On a general level, I understand that this arouses feelings and thoughts when things happen in one’s immediate area, he says and urges to get in touch with any observations about Wednesday evening in the area.
