The BSP candidate for mayor of Sofia, Prof. Mihail Mirchev, showed his wife Katya on the air of Channel 3 and the program “Benovska pita”. He did this to quell the speculation surrounding her that emerged during the election campaign. Katya admitted that, in addition to being his wife, she is also his assistant, support, etc. She asked host Benovska to come up with the most feminine question she could think of for Mirchev. The question was made up quickly: “Are you cheating on me,” Katya asked.
“Katya?!”, replied Mirchev meaningfully and with a smile, whom the camera quickly showed in close-up.
Mirchev, who was in the company of Kaloyan Pargov – chairman of BSP Sofia, also announced what changes he would make if he became mayor of Sofia. He believes that the chief architect should be the first to go, and after him the nomenclature in the municipality’s administration – all those who occupy the highest levels of management. According to him, they should even resign themselves. At the lower levels, he said, employees who could contribute with their experience should be retained.
The purge will not be massive, he explained.
