The last reliable information is from 17:00 yesterday. All kinds of contests are possible after results were suggested by polling agencies all night”. This was stated by the chairman of the BSP, Mihail Mikov, at a press conference at the party’s headquarters. According to him, the data from the country show an extremely high percentage of invalid ballots. He emphasized that there are a number of cases in which there are no authentically issued protocols certifying the pre-election results.
“We are currently trying with our activists to gather more information about exactly what happened after 7pm yesterday. Violations of the laws are numerous, including opportunities to appeal election results. I think that there will be such, and not only from us,” said Mikov. He thanked the voters who supported the BSP candidates in an extremely difficult environment – fear mongering, pressure, as well as the intervention of strong corporate influence and payment for power in the last month.
“In terms of the results we have so far, the BSP retains its influence in the local government. According to our data, at the moment we have 31 municipalities in which we won in the first round and about 70 in which we will go to a runoff,” said Mikov. He emphasized that it is impossible not to evaluate as lost certain big cities where the voter obviously preferred another political force. “I think that these results strengthen the BSP as the only possible left-wing alternative to today’s right-wing government,” the BSP chairman emphasized.

“Back in June, we warned about what would happen. And now any justifications of a technical nature cannot cover up the deliberate creation of chaos in order to suggest certain results on the election night, before the results of the counting are clear,” added the chairman of the BSP. He pointed out that since October 22 another electronic database has been blocked – the complaints submitted to the CEC. “The blocking of sites in many places and, most importantly, the lack of information about voter turnout, creates an opportunity for insinuations through the electronic media. “, commented Mikhail Mikov.
