The action in the video for the song, released a few days ago, takes place directly on the set of the show, where the singer plays the role of a bystander and invisible witness to the fate of the characters played by actors Silvia Petkova, Ivaylo Zahariev, Orlin Pavlov, Sofia Marinkova and Galya Sarafova.
Before Life.dir.bg the singer told more about the feeling of being part of the production. In addition, inspired by the project, she revealed whether she plans to make a turn in her career, focusing on performances on the small and big screen.
Hello, Michaela! First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the “BG Album” award, which was recently won at this year’s musical awards of BG Radio. How do you feel, given that he received such great recognition with his debut album “Step Forward”?
The feeling of victory with the first step forward is great, because I know how much work and heart I, Pavell (Pavel Nikolov), with whom I created the album, and my team put into making it! The award and the love of the audience are an incentive for more and more work!
Now tell me honestly, after this achievement, along with your triumph in “Like Two Drops of Water” and “The Masked Singer”, are you used to receiving awards or vice versa?
I accept the awards as a sign that I am going in the right direction, but I have never aspired to them at any cost. I love music, I love to see people sing the lyrics that Paul and I write with such love. This is the most sincere reward for me.
If you now received a call with the opportunity to participate in another show, similar to the ones already mentioned, would you accept?
The shows I participated in really gave me a lot – they taught me brutal professionalism, discipline and inspiration. They left me memories, unforgettable creative meetings, good friends and a loving audience. I also gave a lot of myself in them and I am extremely grateful! I am currently fully focused on creating a new one music and I want to use all my energy there, but in the future, why not?
Now let’s move on to another topic in which I’m sure you’ll feel at home, namely music. Your new song “Series” was released recently, what can you tell us about it?
I did the song again with Pavel in a beautiful and inspiring place in nature – the village of Krushare, where his grandmother lives. He had written the first verse and the chorus some time ago, played my demo and asked me to sing it, after which we wrote the second verse together and fell in love with the final result! The message of the text is a real plot for a film and we are extremely happy that the song was chosen as the main one a little later. musical theme of the 2nd season of “The Way of Honor”! We are happy artists!
The video for the song was shot for four days on the set of the series. Was it exciting to be there?
Exceptional! Thanks to NOVA, Albion Films and my team from Virginia Records for making this wonderful project come true! Thanks also to the actors Silvia Petkova, Sofia Marinkova, Galya Sarafova, Orlin Pavlov and Ivaylo Zahariev, who helped me a lot during the filming of the video with their great talent and enthusiasm in playing some of the most key scenes. I witnessed the shooting of good Bulgarian cinema.
How did the photos go and did it feel like part of the production?
I felt in my place … I even dreamed of a role (laughs).
Do you watch the series yourself?
I’m very excited, yes! I’m looking forward to the second season, and now I’m watching the replay of the first.
To date, many world-famous singers have appeared in film and television. Have you thought about making a similar “turn” in your career?
As I mentioned … I dreamed! I would make this turn simply because I feel drawn! I will be happy for this to happen to me, but everything in time.
What is the movie in which you imagine yourself standing in front of a camera?
“Burlesque” or “Alice in Wonderland”, and maybe some action or drama.
I wonder what is the song that describes your story or yourself, and would define it as the soundtrack of your life?
The soundtrack of my life is my debut album “Step Forward”.
There isn’t much left until the end of the summer, which seems to have gone unnoticed this year as well … Have you planned how you will spend your time until the beginning of autumn? Are you planning to travel somewhere?
I am currently on a family vacation, which is always one of the best experiences of the year! I don’t have much time with my relatives and I make the most of it. After that, only work and meetings with my favorite audience are waiting for me!
How will you remember the current hot season?
Definitely with travel and the appearance of “Series”.
