The former mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Miguel Zerolo, will testify this Tuesday, before the magistrate of Court Number 3 at the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Judicial sources have informed the SER, the statement of the investigated will be made at ten in the morning and by videoconference. Miguel Zerolo is being investigated for the alleged commission of the crimes of prevarication and embezzlement of public funds during his performance in the Board of Directors of the municipal water services company (Emmasa) when the allegedly illegal return of the fee of 59 million was agreed that Sacyr-Vallehermoso had paid to the City Council for the infrastructures of the water service company in the capital of Tenerife. Similarly, the judge has called Pablo Abril Martorell Fernández, Emmasa’s delegate, and the current mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, to testify, the latter as a witness.
