Miguel Zenón and Luis Perdomo Release Digital Album ‘El Arte Del Bolero’


Puerto Rican alto saxophonist Miguel Zenón and Venezuelan pianist Luis Perdomo have released their digital only album “The Art Of The Bolero” today, Friday, January 8, 2021 through Miel Music.

On September 28, 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, Miguel Zenón and pianist Luis Perdomo recorded a concert at The Jazz Gallery in New York City which was livestreamed in November.

The song selection includes ‘Como Fue’ (Ernesto Duarte), popularized by the great Benny Moré; ‘Alma Adentro’ (Sylvia Rexach), ‘Ese Hastío’ (Juan Manuel Solís Fernandez), made famous by Ray Barreto; ‘Life is a Dream’ (Arsenio Rodriguez Scull); ‘Que Te Pedí’ (Fernando López Mulens, Gabriel Luna De La Fuente), immortalized by Latin diva “La Lupe”; and ‘Toy’ (Bobby Capó), popularized by Cheo Feliciano on his 1972 album “Cheo’s Sensual Voice.”
