MÉRIDA, Jun 13 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Miguel Tinoco, from Medina de las Torres, has won first prize in the Badajoz Pinta urban art contest, which took place this weekend in the streets of the urban area of the Badajoz capital.
Sergio García, from Barcelona, and Alejandro Pajuelo ‘Chino’, from Badajoz, have been the second and third place, respectively.
The objective of this contest is to revitalize the historic district of the city and recover degraded areas through art as a transforming tool.
15 murals have been made in the Old Town of Badajoz, both party walls and walls, and three cash prizes of 3,000, 2,200 and 1,000 euros, respectively, have been distributed to the first three classified, thanks to the sponsorship of Fundación CB and Ibercaja
The locations chosen this year to carry out the works are in Eugenio Hermoso, Concepción Arenal, Afligidos con Benegas and San Lorenzo streets.
The jury was made up of Ramón de Arcos, as president, and representatives of the Badajoz City Council, the Leroy Merlin company and the CB Foundation.
