Miguel Romero points out that meeting Ricardo Llerandi was just a “coincidence”

The senator Miguel Romero clarified on Wednesday that the meeting with the former secretary of the Interior Ricardo Llerandi in a cafe on Domenech Avenue, in San Juan, It was a casual one and it has nothing to do with his campaign efforts for the capital’s mayor’s office.

In this way, the senator dissociated himself from the incident in which several citizens broke into the “Latte que Latte” business with a cacerolazo to claim Llerandi about the situation the country is going through, especially after the discovery of a warehouse with thousands of supplies in Ponce.

“Today I agreed there with the Lcdo. Ricardo Llerandi, who was with another person, since before I arrived at the place. After greeting and sharing briefly with him, several people came to demonstrate and protest inside the establishment Once the protest begins and in order to avoid controversy, I left the place, ”Romero said in written statements.

Romero called his presence during the incident “accidental.”

“I also make it clear that Lcdo. Ricardo Llerandi has not been, nor is he part of my campaign committee, in any capacity and is the first time I agree with him, since he ceased his duties as secretary of the Interior. In the same way I make it clear that, the person who accompanied the lawyer was NOT Mr. Edwin Miranda as some people have tried to insinuate, ”the official added.

The person who accompanied Llerandi and Romero was the legislative advisor Raúl Márquez Hernández.

On the other hand, Romero turned away from the claims that citizens made during the cacerolazo when he understood that he does not have to react “because it is the protest on the issue of controversy related to the management of a warehouse and delivery of supplies in the southern area” .
