Miguel de Lara was eliminated from the 200-meter breaststroke final after finishing eighth in his semi-final at Paris 2024.
The Mexican swimmer had a difficult race from the start, as after the start he was never able to get out of the last position of his heat, a position he held throughout the race.
He finished with a time of 2:11.28 minutes, far from the 2:08.57 of the winner of the first semi-final, Australian Zac Stubblety-Cook.
Finally, after the second heat of the semi-finals, De Lara placed 16th in the competition.
It should be remembered that they reached this stage after the injury of Dutchman Arno Kamminga.
Miguel de Lara has had quite an adventure in Paris 2024, as days earlier he was disqualified for a shark kick in the 100-meter breaststroke.
