Miguel Bosé’s ‘bioseries’ finally arrives in the United States

“Bosé,” which follows the life of legendary singer-songwriter Miguel Bosé, premiered on Paramount+ in Latin America in November, quickly becoming one of the most-watched scripted shows on that streaming service.

And today, the original series, starring José Pastor and Iván Sánchez, is launched in the United States, with the six episodes that compose it available both in Spanish and dubbed into English, to facilitate viewing by different viewers.

From birth, Miguel Bosé was destined for greatness, despite the strict conventions imposed by his native Spain in the 1960s. His father, Luis Miguel Dominguín, was a traditional and prominent figure in Spanish bullfighting, while his mother, Lucía Bosé, was a sophisticated and modern Italian film star. Miguel was born blessed with his father’s strong character, his mother’s beauty, and the rebellion and elegance of both.

In 1968, her parents’ tumultuous relationship came to an end after 13 years when they agreed to divorce, which was a scandal at the time in a conservative country. Miguel was only 11 and the divorce had a huge impact on him. He served as the catalyst to transform him into the rebel artist the world would know a decade later.

Surrounded by an aura of mystery, he has always been very private. This series breaks down walls, revealing the singer-songwriter’s strengths and weaknesses and giving audiences an intimate look into his life. Each episode focuses on a different song from his repertoire and travels to pivotal moments in his life, although the current timeline takes place during the promotion of his multi-platinum album “Papito”, when he decided to make a long-delayed dream come true. : be a dad.

The cast also includes Nacho Fresneda as Bosé’s father, Luis Miguel Dominguín; Valeria Solarino as her mother, Lucía Bosé; Alicia Borrachero in the role of La Tata, a fundamental figure in her existence; Ana Jara as her best friend; José Sospedra as Pablo Alborch; Miguel Angel Muñoz as Julio Iglesias; and Mariela Garriga as Facio.

The series was produced by Paramount, in collaboration with Shine Iberia (Banijay Iberia), Elefantec Global and Legacy Rock. Directed by Miguel Bardem and Fernando Trullols and the screenplay by Ángeles González Sinde, Isabel Vázquez and Boris Izaguirre.
