Miguel Ángel Riquelme hospitalized in Saltillo, Coahuila; this is his health status today, September 3

Former Coahuila governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís was hospitalized in a clinic located north of the city of Saltillo, according to the parliamentary group of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) on the afternoon of September 2.

According to the information, the senator of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) was admitted to a hospital in Coahuila to undergo a routine medical procedure.

So far, no information or follow-up has been released regarding the former governor’s health status; however, in the statement issued a few hours ago, it was announced that this is a general check-up and there is no risk for the 53-year-old politician, who governed Coahuila from 2017 to 2023.

However, it was reported that he will remain hospitalized for a while, without giving further details of the clinical event.

“He will remain hospitalized while waiting for the completion of the various medical tests he requires, in order to confirm his health status,” the document reads.

It should be remembered that Miguel Riquelme received the certificate as Senator of the Republic on Sunday, June 9, the day in which he asked for the gratitude of the people of Coahuila, as well as his party after the most important elections in the country, which took place on June 2 of this year.

The former governor was born on September 18, 1970 in the city of Torreón, in the state of Coahuila.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Programming, after completing his studies at the Technological Institute of La Laguna from 1989-1994.

He was a State and Municipal Political Advisor, District Delegate for Coahuila, Electoral Coordinator, Campaign Coordinator. He was Secretary of Social Development, Secretary of Regional Development in Coahuila, among other positions.

According to personal information, he married Marcela Gorgón Carrillo and has two children.
