ROMA – L’International Migration Outlook (IMO) dell’OECD is an annual event that offers an updated and in-depth analysis of the main migratory trends at an international level. Next November 14th, coinciding with the official launch in Paris, CeSPI e Mondopoli they organized the presentation of the report also in Italy.
A detailed vision of migratory flows. The IMO report offers a unique and detailed vision of migratory flows, distinguishing between permanent and temporary migrations, movements for work, study, family reunification or in search of protection. The framework provided not only describes the evolution of migratory phenomena, but also helps to dispel myths and distorted perceptions often associated with migration. The most recent data on migration to the countries will be presented during the event OECDwith a particular focus on changes in migration policies that are influencing the direction and intensity of flows, including that towards Italy.
The role of migrants, the new Italians. Their presence as promoters of entrepreneurship and economic development will be one of the central themes, without neglecting the critical issues and challenges of this transformation. Italy’s position in this global scenario and the role of Italians – including the “new Italians” – in the context of international mobility will be explored in depth. The phenomenon of secondary movements, which goes alongside the flows of emigration and immigration, will be another central theme.
Migration experts from different parts of the world and institutional representatives will offer perspectives and strategies to better understand the dynamics of a global phenomenon, offering an interpretation that goes beyond national borders, in the spirit of openness and in-depth analysis at a global level promoted by Mondopoli.
