In this article GWS(Google Workspace) Provides comprehensive guidance for tenant administrators on the new Microsoft toolset for migrating workloads to Microsoft 365. in a new environment FACING(Tenant Administrator) MACGet a one-stop shop for migrating from GWS (Microsoft 365 admin center). Additionally, tenant administrators can target small to medium-sized businesses (less than 1000 seats) to complete mail migration from GWS to Microsoft 365 in one step without using a batch mechanism. SGMYou can access a new mail migration feature called (Simplified Gmail Migration).

In October 2024, Google will launch a unified migration experience for Mail and Drive. New workloads in Groups, Teams, and other areas will be added in the near future.

In this new environment, your tenant administrator will guide you through the following high-level steps:

1. TA will take you to MAC’s migration page. Migrate business productivity workloads to Microsoft 365.
2. TAs can select the Google Migration option at the top of the page and access the integrated Google Migration dashboard: Migrate from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 Open.
3. FRE(First-run experience), TA adds the source domain to be migrated.
4. Domain added to FRE or returned later RUEWhen a TA is returned for (user experince), the TA checks the tiles associated with the workload. TA lists metadata about mail users and mailbox details from the Google origin domain. mail Check the tiles. Similarly, TA lists metadata for the original Google Drive. drive You can also see tiles.
5. TA can choose to migrate selected workloads.
   1. When a tenant administrator chooses to migrate data from Google Mail to Microsoft 365, the solution looks up the number of users in the domain and assigns TA to the appropriate environment ( Migrate mail from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365) We guide you.
      1. If your source domain has more than 1,000 users, your TA will be directed to MAC’s large tenant Gmail migration environment. Large tenant migration environments focus on ensuring that both the source GWS mail and the target Microsoft 365 Exchange are available during the migration period.       2. If the number of users in the source domain is less than 1,000 users, TA is directed to the SGM environment. Learn more about a streamlined Gmail migration for small businesses here.
   2. Drive migration experience if a tenant administrator is migrating from Google Drive to Microsoft 365: Migrate from Google Workspace Drive to Microsoft 365 OneDrive and Sharepoint It will be moved.

In October 2024, both Mail and Drive mgiration from GWS to Microsoft 365 will require installing workload-specific apps in the Google Admin console in the original Google tenant. Make sure you have administrator permissions to install apps on Google.
