“We are noticing how around five or six migrants every day request accommodation or food in our municipality. Every day we see how new people are coming, we have around fifty people who have left Las Raíces and sought protection in the City Council, “explains González.”If we continue like this, the situation will become untenable, because we are already starting from a complicated situation“, Add.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has sent a letter to the Undersecretary of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration of the State, Raquel González, demanding an urgent solution for this situation. “For us this is totally alarming, the Ministry has to put decent resources for these people because they are forcing them to leave there,” concludes the councilor for social services.
