On Friday morning, the Furth im Wald border police group picked up five Syrian migrants in Neukirchen near Heiligen Blut. At around 6:30 a.m., an officer from the Furth police station, who was on his way to work, saw a group of five people in the forest shortly before the town of Kager. A short time later, a patrol from the Furth im Wald border police group was able to catch the men on the pass road. The Syrian migrants were unable to present any valid border crossing documents. The responsible federal police station in Furth im Wald initiated an investigation into the men, aged between 18 and 27, for unauthorized entry.
Picked up in Budweis
According to initial investigations, a previously unknown driver of a black Skoda station wagon with a Czech registration picked up the Syrians from the train station in Budweis (Czech Republic) on Thursday, October 10th. The man entered Germany with the migrants on Friday, October 11th via the Neukirchen border crossing near Heiligen Blut. At around 2:45 a.m. the driver dropped the young men off at the town hall in Neukirchen near Heiligen Blut. The Federal Police Station Furth im Wald is investigating the unknown driver for smuggling in foreigners.
The investigators are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the black Skoda station wagon with Czech registration. Information is requested to the Waldmünchen Federal Police on 09972/9408-0 or by email to bpoli.waldmuenchen@polizei.bund.de. After completing the police measures, the federal police officers forwarded the migrants to the initial reception center for asylum seekers in Regensburg.
