Migrant drama in Canal with more than twenty dead | Abroad

Authorities speak of the deadliest incident to date involving migrants in the Channel.

A French mayor said 24 bodies have been found and 26 others on board have been rescued. The migrants wanted to cross the Channel from France. Their boat sank off the coast at Calais. A fisherman reported seeing floating corpses, prompting the French Coast Guard to intervene.
