Mieczysław Grąbka, a theater and film actor and dubbing actor, died at the age of 73. He was an actor at the Stary Theater in Krakow and a professor at the Academy of Theater Arts. He starred in films such as “Vinci”, “The Bailiff” and “I’ll Show You”.

The Academy of Theater Arts announced the death of Mieczysław Grąbka on Monday.

“A wonderful actor of the National Stary Theater in Krakow and a teacher of our University, beloved by all of us – Professor Mieczysław Grąbka, has passed away. A unique member of our academic community has passed away,” AST wrote on social media.

The Stary Theater in Krakow also posted information about the death of its actor.

“It is with great sadness that we received the news that Mieczysław Grąbka passed away – a wonderful man, an actor of the Stary Theater for over 40 years, on whose stages he created dozens of unforgettable roles, collaborating with directors such as Andrzej Wajda, Mikołaj Grabowski, Jerzy Jarocki, Jerzy Grzegorzewski” – we read in a post on Facebook.

On April 12, Mieczysław Grąbka would have turned 74. He was a theater, film and dubbing actor, as well as a director, screenwriter and lecturer at the Academy of Theater Arts.

Viewers remember him, among others: from roles in the films: “Vinci”, “The Bailiff”, “Angel in Love”, “I’ll Show You”, “Strawberry Wine”, and “All Mateusz’s Women”.
