Heartfelt Farewell to Martin McGinty of Enniscrone

Remembering Martin McGinty

Martin McGinty, residing at Woodview House, Ballymonean, Enniscrone, had a life filled with family bonds and cherished memories. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Elizabeth and Peter, his sister Jenny, daughter Sandra, and nephew Jason.

Martin is survived by his devoted wife, Maura, and his loving children, Deirdre and David. Also grieving his loss are his daughter-in-law, Aishling; sister Tina; brothers Peter and Chris; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of friends who held him dear. "Martin was the kind of person who lit up every room he entered. He will be sadly missed by all," shared a close family friend.

Funeral Arrangements

The community is invited to pay their respects at McGowan’s Funeral Home in Ballina (F26 V274) on Tuesday, where Martin will be reposing from 5:30 PM until 7 PM. This is an opportunity for friends and family to gather and celebrate his life together.

Martin’s funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Church in Castleconnor on Wednesday at 11 AM. Following the mass, he will be laid to rest in Killanley Cemetery, where many familiar faces – family and friends – will gather to say their final goodbyes.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice. Contributions may be made in person at McGowan’s Funeral Home or online via the Mayo Hospice website at this link.
