Midfielder Hyoran is ready to leave Atlético. Although the club does not confirm the non-renewal of the contract with the 30-year-old player, his departure is imminent. Little used by coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, he has not played since August 9, in the goalless draw with Palmeiras, which eliminated Alvinegro in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
Signed in 2020, from Alviverde Paulista, the midfielder was loaned to Red Bull Bragantino last season. Activated back in 2023, he participated in 35 matches, but did not establish himself as a starter. The midfielder’s contract ends on the last day of this month.
“Regarding Hyoran, I will not speak publicly about the decision made by the board before speaking to him. First, I want to make a reservation: Hyoran, on many occasions, was even underestimated, he was not given his due value”, said executive director Rodrigo Caetano.
“He was a champion with us, he is a spectacular boy, a great professional. If by chance he doesn’t stay at Galo, the club he goes to will be very well served, on and off the field. I would like to have worked with more profiles like Hyoran”, he went further.
