As reported by players on reddit and foreign news portals, Microsoft has made a new price increase on Xbox Game Pass subscriptions in Argentina and Turkey.
The exact reason for this price increase in the service was not said, but it is believed to be related to exchange rates. This increase comes on the heels of Steam’s changes.
For those out of the loop, Valve recently announced changes to the Steam currency for Argentina and Turkey, which will begin using the US dollar as the default currency and not Pesos or Turkish Liras.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate pricing is now as follows in each region:
Argentina: From 1,499 pesos to 2,999 pesos Turkey: From 121 Turkish Liras to 209 Turkish Liras
For those wondering if the increase in Xbox Game Pass subscriptions can happen in Brazil, yes, it is possible, but that depends solely on Microsoft. It is also worth noting that the service has already had a price increase here in June, with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate going from R$44.99 to R$49.99.
