Network user under the nickname PhantomOcean3 discovered mention of analogue DLSS from Microsoft in the latest test version data Windows 11Automatic Super Resolution (ASP).

Apparently, the technology will be used for PC games, and AI will help in its work. It is not yet clear which games will be able to support the technology and what it will be called. The same applies to its requirements for the user’s hardware.

In fact, mentions of such technology appeared several years ago, when Microsoft was just looking for a specialist to develop such a new product. At the same time it was mentioned that the technology would be used for games on Xbox Series.

Now Microsoft has already come one step closer to releasing this option, although there has still been no official announcement. Many netizens immediately noted that the technology, by description, resembles an analogue from Nvidiabecause it also uses AI to improve the image.

Similar technologies exist in AMD with Intel – it comes from FSR and XeSSAlthough DLSS is still particularly popular among players.

In addition, Microsoft is working on improvements to customize colors for the same Windows 11. Now they can be changed in the main display settings, and a new function has also appeared for managing “color profiles.”

Recently, by the way, Starfield received FSR and XeSS technologies – however, for now we are only talking about a beta version of a patch with these options. In addition, in the same beta, various errors in the space adventure were fixed, including those related to DLSS.
