Microsoft’s Purchase of Activision Blizzard Approved by Court, FTC Appeal Denied

Microsoft can finally move forward with the purchase of Activision Blizzard after the appeal of the Federal Trade Commission of the United States, the FTC, has been denied.

The FTC was not convinced by the judge’s deliberations and decided to file an appeal, which, as Microsoft requested, was quickly rejected. In this way, the company gets rid of a headache and emerges victorious from the courts, ready to buy Activision Blizzard.

Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, thanked the speed of the court in denying the appeal to the FTC and says that in this way they are closer to ending this entire process of investigations by the authorities.

With such a quick response, Microsoft manages to finalize the purchase before July 18 and avoid paying 3 billion dollars to Activision Blizzard.
