Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard Takeover Deal Takes Major Step Forward with Approval from CMA despite Initial Blockage

After Friday’s approval by the British Competition and Market Authority (CMA), Microsoft 75 billion. Activision Blizzard’s takeover deal has taken a major step forward. The CMA initially blocked the deal due to concerns it could stifle innovation and choice in the cloud gaming sector.

In response, Microsoft proposed to revise the contract which includes Activision selling non-European game streaming rights to the company Ubisoft. The move addresses the CMA’s concerns that Microsoft will strengthen its dominant position in the cloud gaming market, reports Investing.com.
