Microsoft: Xbox Update Fixes Connection Problems Wireless Controller – Gaming – News

The March update for Xbox consoles also addresses most Xbox Wireless Controller connectivity issues. That says an employee of the Xbox team on Twitter. The update also adds toggles for FPS boost and Auto HDR in games that are backwards compatible.

Earlier this week brought Microsoft released an update for its Xbox consoles allowing users of the Series S and X consoles through toggles FPS Boost and Auto HDR can activate on games that backwards compatible. Additionally, with this update, achievements are returning to the Xbox App, the console’s subscriptions management screen has been refreshed, and support for the new Xbox Wireless Headset.

According to Jason Ronald, a member of the Xbox team, this March update should also “fix most of the problems for the many controllers that have connectivity issues.” Ronald writes that on Twitter. In mid-November, the first complaints from users appeared with an Xbox Wireless Controller that randomly lost connection to the Xbox Series X console or a PC. That led to a busy message on the Microsoft forum where many users have reported similar issues.

Earlier this year Microsoft told The Verge that the company was diligently looking for a solution to address the Xbox Wireless Controller’s connectivity issues. While waiting for that fix, the company referred to a help page to update the controller’s firmware.
